Why Another Truss Section?
Over the past 20 years commercial construction has shifted to more and more to Cold Formed Steel in load bearing applications due to its light weight and high strength but yet bar joist/structural steel has continued to be the standard in floors. This is entirely due to CFS Trusses not offering the value they should. AdvanT is designed specifically to fill the need for a lightweight, strong and economical Cold Formed Steel Truss Option in Floors and Flat Roof applications.
How is AdvanT Different?
The AdvanT Truss section has many advantages over existing proprietary Cold Formed Steel Truss Shapes. Just a few include:

Ability to double webs at chord connection reducing bracing and increasing screw capacity

Single point connection of intermediate webs reducing shear in chords and reducing weight and cost

Higher center of gravity in chord design increases truss efficiency and lowers cost
